The Grains in the Trees Speak of the Time Which Has Passed, 2024

Through these works, I aim to evoke a sense of time’s quiet and gradual influence. The pieces explore how time, nature, and materials inevitably interact. The uneven surfaces carry a tactile presence, bringing the materiality of the mediums to the forefront.
By building up layer upon layer of color and texture, surfaces emerge as visual narratives of erosion, stratification, and weathering. The strong physical presence in the works’ structures and textures accentuates their tactile character.

The process is experimental and intuitive, as the printing plate is created by pouring plaster onto a surface, resulting in unexpected structures. Each printing gradually wears down the plate, leading to a continuous transformation in the expression of the works. This exploration of time serves as a quiet reminder of the forces that shape both our surroundings and ourselves.
